PACHA FOR EARTH aims to empower Guatemalan and Salvadoran weavers and artisans to maintain and promote their ancestral Mayan techniques by producing high quality and eco-friendly simple designs under fair trade standards.
We believe that by protecting indigenous rights and dignifying their sustainable ways of managing their territories and resources we are also helping to protect planet Earth.

Our Story

PACHA FOR EARTH'S story began during a trip to Guatemala in 2005 where Pacha, our founder, immersed in the natural surroundings of Lake Atitlan and other parts of the country as she became fascinated by the traditions and artistic heritage of the local communities. She kept visiting Guatemala until she came back in 2014 to learn and master one of the oldest weaving and natural dyeing techniques in the world directly from local artists and craftspeople.
